All products reviewed on this page are manufactured by companies and/or registered dentists and should be treated as such by the manufacturer. For a complete list of all of the teeth whitening products, including the benefits and drawbacks of each product, see the whitening information on the whitening page. There are many products available on the market that claim to be "natural" that are in fact either chemical or synthetic. Some are good for whitening the gum tissue, some are ineffective at all, and some contain dangerous ingredients. I have personally found that it is much easier to find products that are actually good for teeth than those that are bad for teeth. If you would like to order teeth whitening products, please see the whitening section on the right.
The most popular whitening products are mouthwash, toothpaste, and gel whiteners. Mouthwash and toothpaste are the least expensive products and they are usually the most popular. A common toothpaste is usually called "mineral whitening cream" or "mineral whitening paste."
Gel whiteners are another good option. A gel whitener contains the whitening ingredient ascorbic acid. Gel whiteners are usually made of plant materials and are designed to be absorbed quickly into the body.
